ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES ORGANISED:  

Various U.P. state Opthalmological conferences are being organised. Last U.P. state conference has been organised by department in Nov. 2006.

Various Seminars & Mini Conferences are being organised by the department under the banner of Allahabad Opthalmological Society.                                    

Achievements:  

1.     Having got honour of performing highest number of cataract surgery since last so many yearsin all the medical colleges of the state.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE DEPARTMENT:  

    1. Department is equipped with various modern equipments as latest High Tech Microscopes, Lasers etc.

    2. Cataract Surgery has been done by latest techniques as SICS & Phacomulsification

    3. As per central govt. directions, cases of rural eye camps are being performed cataract surgery with intra ocular implantation in almost 100% cases.                                            

FUTURE ENDEAVORS:
                1. High Tech Pediatric Opthalmology is being likely to be set up very soon with the assistance of ORBIS International New Delhi.

             2. Various Mega Camp is being organised. Basically to help the poor patients.
