The department of Physiology together with Biochemistry was started at the inception of the college in 1961 with Prof. U. R. Bhardwaj as the Head of the Department. The classes were initially started in the premises of the S.R.N. Hospital and later shifted to the present site in the M.L.N. Medical College in the year 1966. fifty batches of students have passed till date and thirty five post graduates have been awarded M.D. degrees. The department is equipped with state of the art facilities and equipments. Various research activities are also performed along with academics.
