PATIENT CARE STATISTICS:
1. Department runs 7 routine operation theatres per day
which includes all surgical specialties viz. General surgery,
pedia, neuro, uro, plastic, C.TV's, orthopedics, E.N.T, Gyne-obstetrics.,
ophthalmology and post-partum family welfare
2. 24 hrs. emergency services to all
surgery specialities.
3. 24 hrs. critical and I.C.U. services.

RESEARCH & TRAINING:
1. M.D. Thesis supervision—5 per year.
2. Other than thesis supervision each teacher takes a
clinical research project to get it published in journals or
presents it in conferences. More than 100 research papers
published by faculty members.
3. Gives theoretical and practical
anesthesia and
Resuscitation training in the form of lectures, seminars,
journal clubs, demonstrations and case presentations.

Organisers U.P. state conferences of ISA on rotation.

Workshops of clinical interests viz. Medical gases,
infusion therapy, difficult airway,
anesthetic techniques
etc.

Achievements:
1.
Resident doctors of dept. received best paper awards in
different conferences.
2.
Teaching faculty delivered guest lectures/ C.M.E
lectures, chaired sessions in national I.S.A./ U. P. chapter
I.S.A. conferences.
3.
Dr. M. N. Misra (HOD) appointed inspector by mci to
inspect M.D./D.A. he attended
international workshop on blood
safety and appointed zonal representative of WHO
on blood
safety.
4.
Dr. H.C. Chandola is member editorial board of Ind. J. Anaesth.
5.
Dr. M. N. Misra and Dr. L. S. Mishra had been President and
vice president of
U.P.I.S.A respectively.
6.
Dr. L. S. Misra had been Vice President Allahabad branch
of I.M.A.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE DEPARTMENT:

Five Bedded ICU reorganized with modern equipments.
2.
All operation theatres, emergency wards and few wards
equipped with central gas
and suction supply.

Proposal for equipped ‘Pain Clinic’.
2.
Staffing and more equipping of ICU.
3.
Teaching and training of CPR in non-medical
institutions.
4.
Upgrading of specialized anesthesia unit for subspecialties e.g.
C.TV's, Neuro Uro,
Plastic surgery.
