SERVICES:
The
department has been providing around sixty Diploma Pharmacists
per year since its inception. These pharmacists work in
Hospitals and Primary Health Centres as members of health care
team. They also look after and manage the medical stores of
above-mentioned organizations.

|
RESEARCH & TRAINING:
The students who pass Diploma Pharmacy Course are deputed for
practical training in various hospitals. |
|
|
ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES ORGANISED:
The
Department runs two years diploma course in Pharmacy and the
students who pass 10 +2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or
Maths are eligible to take admission in the course. Academic
activities are organised as per the guidelines of Pharmacy
Council of India New Delhi.

Achievements:
The
department caters the need of that section of the society
which wants their wards to attain a short term specialised
training leading to a diploma so that either they can get a
job or get self-employed. the diploma in pharmacy provides
both these opportunities as the diploma pharmacists get jobs
in hospitals, primary health centres etc. and they can start
their own retail medicine shops.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE DEPARTMENT:
Equipments,
books, chemicals have been purchased to cope up with the
present day needs of the students so that they are well versed
with the latest developments in the field of Pharmacy.

|
FUTURE ENDEAVORS:
To
further improve the existing facilities in the Department and
to organize tours of the students pharmacists so that they
come in contact with rural community and explain the masses
about AIDS, Polio, TB, Leprosy and other communicable and non
communicable diseases.
