Faculty Members::
Professors: Dr. A.K. Kapoor- A graduate from KG’s Medical College, Lucknow and Postgraduate from M.L.N. Medical College, Allahabad(1974). He  was appointed Lecturer in 1976 and was promoted as Professor and Head in January 1999.He has published 50 indexed research papers and more than 60 abstracts have   been published in the various National and International Conference and Workshops. He has also chaired several conferences and was also guest speaker in several National Conferences. He has to his credit a variety of administrative experience.

Associate Professor:- 

(i)Dr. Nira Kastury—Graduate and Post graduate(1989) from GSVM Medical College   Kanpur. Joined as lecturer in July 1990 at MLN Medical College Allahabad. She has published more than 25 research papers and more than 25 review articles in various journals of repute. She has also communicated and published about more than 40 abstracts in National conferences.

(ii)Dr. Alka Rani Tiwari:- She has passed MSc. In Organic Chemistry in 1971 and D.Phil in medicinal chemistry 1976. She has published 40 research papers in various National and International Journals of repute

Lecturers: Dr. R. C. Chaurasia — A Graduate and Postgraduate (1998) from M.L.N. Medical College,

Allahabad has joined the department as Lecturer in Aug.2006.

RESEARCH & TRAINING: 

Department is basically concerned with Undergraduate and Postgraduate teachings. Research activities are undertaken both by faculty members and Postgraduate students within department as well as inter-departmental research projects.  

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES ORGANISED:  

Seminars and tutorials are being organized for the postgraduate students.

Achievements:                                    

faculty members of the department are regularly publishing research papers in indexed National and international journals. during financial year 2006-07, department, is credited with publication of as many as Seven Research papers in Indexed Journals.

                    During the financial year 2007-08 as many as five research papers have been sent in different reputed journals and these are being processed.

FUTURE ENDEAVORS:

Department is trying hard to collaborate with different departments of Medical College for better research activities. Efforts are also being made to develop the department as Post Marketing Surveillance Center (Phase 4 clinical trial).
