4500 admissions per year, approximately 35,000 OPDs per year

RESEARCH & TRAINING:
1.
All faculty members are involved in training of specialists,
Medical Officer, Nurses in various govt. sponsored programme.
2.
The dept. is actively involved in research projects as part of
PG thesis as well as involved in externally funded projects in
collaboration with other departments in the medical college. |

Organised a CME on new born resuscitation with the help of IMS
BHU Varanasi

Celebrated Breast feeding weak and Newborn weak.

Organised a workshop on Pediatrics Oncology in Associate with

Prof. Rajiv Sharan presented research paper in national
conference of IAP held at Mumbai.
2.
Prof. A. K. Srivastava and Prof. P. C. Mishra participated as
chairpersons in Neocon &
Pedicon.
3.
Dr. Ruchi Rai participated in training programme of NICU and
PICU at AIIMS New Delhi.
4.
Dr. D. K. Singh participated in pediatrics oncology training
progrrame at Tata memorial
hospital in Mumbai.
5.
Dr. C. M. Pandey Sr. Consultant is actively involved in
training programmes for specialists,
medical officer and nurses. |

NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE DEPARTMENT:
1.
The
dept. has started Neonatal and Pediatrics Intensive care
units.
2.
The Dept. has started portable Ultrasound facilities for sick
children admitted in ICU. |

FUTURE ENDEAVORS:
The
dept plans to start Pediatrics Opthalmology, Pediatrics
Gynecology and holistic health care and child psychology units
in future.
